Normal delivery

The learner should be able to:

• Declare the eligibility of a vaginal delivery
• Prepare a parturient for a delivery at the summit presentation
• Perform a vaginal examination to ensure that the head is engaged and the dilation is completed
• Help parturient to push during Uterine Contractions by exciting the perineum with the index and middle fingers of each hand
• Ensure head clearance in occipital-pubic variety
• Ensure shoulder clearance
• Ensure body clearance
• Complete the delivery by performing a monitored delivery.
