Biography

"Prof. Ben Cheikh is a Professor of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis specializing in anesthesia resuscitation. He has also been the Coordinator of the simulation implementation project at the Tunis Faculty of Medicine that began in 2006. He has participated in various large animal simulation seminars at the Tunis Faculty of Medicine under specialties such as celioscopy, celiosurgery, and microsurgery. He has received several training with the Francophone University Agency such as the use of social media in the development of digital education, the use of Moodle in course scanning and the use of Opal in course scanning. He has also received training in Digital Education from the Lille Medical School and has facilitated a seminar on Medical Writing at the Faculty of Medicine in Tunis. He coordinates the simulation implementation project at the Tunis Faculty of Medicine that began in 2006, after an audit of the theoretical, practical and experimental teaching means, necessitated the introduction of simulation as a means of strengthening teaching. Several options had been advanced, and it was decided to acquire a high-fidelity simulator that would allow students in different subjects to benefit from it. His specialties include: • Celioscopy where the trainee could learn gestures, such as stitches, organ detachments using trainers acquired by the faculty • The celiosurgery where he had to do anesthesia on the pigs • Microsurgery, where the trainee could do ligatures under a microscope "
