Cardiorespiratory arrest (CRA)

The learner should be able to:

• Recognize a cardiorespiratory arrest
• Make timely decisions
• Clear message alert
• Perform various CPR gestures
•  Prepare the cardiac arrest medications: adrenaline, injections, atropine, cordarone.
• Turn on the defibrillator

The learner is on call in a postoperative unit. A patient who left the operating room 15 minutes ago begins to have consciousness disturbances, and the scope alarm starts to sound, the learner arrives at the patient’s bedside and he calls him, the patient does not answer. The learner examines the screen where he finds a very slow rhythm and the patient quickly had asystole.
